Chef Ahlam or so-called as Chef Lami
Started her baking and pastry journey back in Saudi Arabia 12 years ago by only selling a home-baked cake to her neighborhood. Her passion and dedication to keep learning are two things that drive Chef Lami to turn her career from a home baker to a professional pastry chef.
Moving from Saudi Arabia to Jakarta is a new beginning for her. She gained a professional pastry certification, work for years in a professional kitchen before moving to Bali, and hired as a head chef in one of the biggest resorts in Kuta.
For her, the pastry world is something that brings her alive, thus many of her dishes are a result of her personal experience throughout the 12 years journey — some with a touch of Middle Eastern-influenced, a place where it’s all started.
Consumers’ turn towards healthy eating also affects her ideas and creations to create healthy sweet treats that can be enjoyed by anyone without any guilt. To see her customer smiles after eating a piece of her creations is the biggest happiness for her that keep her alive. Now, by establishing a cafe, she’s aiming higher to spread happiness and smiles by creating an array of delicious but guilt-free sweets; from cakes, bread, and pastries.
